Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great popularity with her stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift began to show an interest in the music industry at a young age. Her career progressed rapidly beyond the roles of children's entertainers and her first public appearance front of thousands. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. the following year she picked up the guitar and began writing songs. Swift wrote original songs inspired by the country music of musicians like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) and Dixie Chicks. Her material was a reflection of Swift's experiences as a tween being apathetic. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at the age of 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. The move enabled Swift to spend more time looking for labels to promote country music in Nashville.
